Rev. Nate Hill

Pastor - Saint Michael's Lutheran Church

Pastor Nate Hill has served as pastor of Saint Michael's Lutheran Church since June of 2012.  He is a Texas native, having been born in 1986 in Dallas.

Pastor Nate attended the public school system in the DFW suburb of Rockwall.  While in high school, he was encouraged by the DCE of his congregation to attend a Lutheran leadership conference.  At that conference, he began to prayerfully consider a career in the pastoral ministry.  The Lord placed in his heart a desire to serve the church in this way.  In 2004, Pastor chose to attend Concordia University Texas to enroll in the pre-seminary program.  He received a B.A. in Behavioral Sciences with a minor in Biblical Languages in the spring of 2008.

During his time at Concordia, Pastor met his wife, Candice.  Candice double-majored while at Concordia with a B.A. in both Behavioral Sciences and DCE Studies. She is currently employed at Concordia University Texas as an Enrollment Operations Analyst.  Pastor and Candice were married on August 15th, 2009 at Zion Lutheran Church in Walburg, Texas after Candice had completed her DCE internship at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Pastor and Candice have two sons, John Barrett "Jack" Hill, who was born in January of 2015 and Carter James Hill who was born in September of 2017.

Pastor received his Master of Divinity degree from Concordia Seminary in Saint Louis, Missouri in May 2012 shortly before he began serving at Saint Michael's.

In addition to serving as pastor of Saint Michael's, within the local community, Pastor Nate also serves as a chaplain and firefighter with the Winchester Area Volunteer Fire Department.

He serves on the Board of Regents of Concordia University Texas and on the Texas District LCMS Theological Convocation Planning Committee. Pastor Nate is currently pursuing a Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.) degree through Concordia Seminary in Saint Louis, Missouri.

In his free time, Pastor Nate enjoys cattle raising, hunting, kayaking, fishing, and spending time with his family.
